Bleeding Margin Playlist 3: Homage to Ichor

A new Bleeding Margin Playlist. This time, we hand-picked 10 disturbing tracks inspired by horror literature, films and personas:

  1. “Scentless Apprentice” – Nirvana
Inspired by Perfume: The Story of a Murderer — obsession, sensory fixation, and serial-killer psychology.
    2. “Night of the Living Dead” – The Misfits

Direct tribute to George Romero’s zombie classic. Punk horror canon.
    3. “Murders in the Rue Morgue” – Iron Maiden

Based on Edgar Allan Poe’s foundational detective-horror tale.
    4. “Pet Sematary” – Ramones

Written for the 1989 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel. Resurrection gone wrong.
    5. “Dream Warriors” – Dokken

Theme from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Freddy mythology meets glam metal.
    6. “The Shining” – Black Sabbath

Not tied to the Kubrick film, but steeped in occult dread and supernatural energy.
    7. “He’s Back (The Man Behind the Mask)” – Alice Cooper

Theme from Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. Pure slasher anthem.
    8. “In Heaven” – Pixies

A cover of the song in David Lynch’s Eraserhead. Surreal, industrial nightmare energy.
    9. “Disco Zombi Italia” – Carpenter Brut

A synth-soaked homage to Italian zombie cinema. Feels like a Fulci fever dream in a nightclub.
    10. “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” – Bauhaus

Explicitly about the actor who embodied Dracula. Gothic rock’s definitive vampire dirge.
