Announcing Issue One of The Bleeding Margin
Share
We founded The Bleeding Margin to share our love of stories that unsettle, that frighten, and that make readers think, perhaps a shade too much. This extends well beyond what we might consider traditional horror.
While we may feature familiar and beloved tropes like the haunted house, the serial killer, or the demonic possession, we are equally drawn to subtler darknesses: the uncanny, the disquieting, the quietly strange, the unsettling. Anything that keeps the light on a little longer or makes sleep a bit more difficult belongs here.
In this debut issue, you’ll find tales of violent corporate ritual, inherited cannibalism, and supernatural torment, alongside a haunting investigation into a ghostly pregnancy. Our poetry explores puritanical violence and the quiet rot of love gone cold, while our visual art veers between the colorfully grotesque and the unexpectedly tender.
Horror is in our blood and in these pages.
Read on, and see yourself reflected in the dark.
